I am an undergraduate student at The University of Texas at Dallas, majoring in Computer Information Systems and Technology with a concentration in Cybersecurity. With experience as an Electronics Associate at Walmart, I have grown my skills in troubleshooting, technical support, problem-solving, and customer service. I am a quick learner who loves collaborating with others to come up with innovative solutions. Whether tackling a new project, learning new technologies, or helping customers with their devices, I am always looking for ways to grow and make an impact.
Ever since I was a child, I have always been fascinated by electronics. I would take apart my toy cars, take the motors out, make them lighter to make them go faster, or repurpose the motors to create something entirely new. This hands-on curiosity drove me to explore how things work and how I could improve them. That same curiosity has now evolved into a career path in IT and cybersecurity, where I can apply and grow my passion for technology.
As a Computer Information Systems and Technology student at The University of Texas at Dallas, I am pursuing a concentration in Cybersecurity to deepen my understanding of network security, risk management, and ethical hacking. My coursework includes hands-on projects and real-world scenarios, enhancing my skills in system analysis, programming, and data protection. Additionally, I am preparing for the CompTIA A+ certification.
Where will I be in 5 years?
In 5 years, I will have completed more advanced certifications such as the CompTIA Security+, CASP+, and CISSP. I will also have completed multiple IT internships, received a return offer, and work full-time as an IT Specialist, Security Engineer, or Network Administrator. I will also stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and continue to enhance my skills. I will have a vast network and will be a well established contributor in the industry.
